Imagine being high on a snowy mountain, with a heavy cloud cover above in late afternoon; there is a sliver of open sky between the clouds and the horizon line. As the sun sets, it makes one last brilliant appearance, shining brightly, as it slips below the clouds, slowly traveling across the small band of open sky, before vanishing over the horizon.

That multi-layered scene is beautifully depicted in this dendritic opal agate stone. When held up to the light, the picture becomes clear as do the miniature snow scenes in the dangling leather-cord tips. The setting itself, is multi-layered and has added interest with the interwoven leather cords. The 1-3/4”, hand fabricated extender chain allows the necklace to be worn at several lengths.
